About Dr. LaVonna Patterson

Dr. LaVonna Patterson is a Licensed Psychologist and Board Certified Professional Counselor with a PhD in Psychology. She helps clients deal with life overwhelming situations, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress and broader personality issues. Her 30 years of work and professional training includes director of counseling services, certified school psychologist and secondary high school teacher.

During her extensive training and diverse career she has written several mental health articles, provided training on mental health issues, facilitated borderline personality disorder groups, and performed numerous psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Her efforts assists psychiatrists, medical doctors, school staff and others interested in helping persons with mental health issues.

A native of North Carolina, she has lived in several states and countries, spent 18 years in North Dakota and moved to Idaho Falls in 1998. She is married with two teenagers at home and three adult children.
